About This Wine:

Pinot Blanc is among the star varieties of the Alsace region of France. It’s also a coveted wine in the Alto Adige region of Italy. And although it’s not the most “glamorous” member of the Pinot family of wines — that distinction would go to Pinot Noir — it’s nonetheless an important variety in many parts of the world, including the United States.

Some have described Pinot Blanc as Chardonnay’s “little brother,” as it shares some of the same qualities as America’s favorite white wine. It has good body, ranging from medium to full. It responds well to oak maturation, yet also can shine with no oak aging at all. And its ideal acid level makes it a versatile companion to food.

The 2021 Cross Creek Winery Pinot Blanc, which hails from California’s Monterey County growing region, is a clean, floral and pretty wine that’s sure to delight. You might even call it “glamorous.”
