2021 Quail Hollow Paso Robles, California Pinot Noir

Paso Robles has a long history of winemaking. Grape growing in the area dates back more than 200 years to before California was a state. From the Mission Era of early California through the Ranchero and Pueblo Era, then struggling through Prohibition to the beginning of the modern wine era that started in the 1960s, the area continues to combine traditional, hand-made techniques with the latest innovations in the vineyard and cellar.

The region has many microclimates, influenced by proximity to the Pacific Ocean. Cool and moderate temperatures toward the west change to warm daytimes and cold nights to the east. The cooler areas, in particular, offer ideal conditions for growing Pinot Noir grapes of exceptional quality.
