About This Wine:

It is a magic word among aficionados of red wine worldwide: Bordeaux. With its many chateaux and the renowned 1855 Classification, Bordeaux is a leading destination for French wine lovers, and is one of a handful of regions that serves as a benchmark for winemakers. A little known fact is that there are 57 appellations across Bordeaux, each distinctive in the character of the grapes grown.

The designated red grape varieties in Bordeaux are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Carmenere. In general, the “left bank” is known for its Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated wines, while the “right bank” is known for its Merlot.

La Croix d'Argent taps the bounty of Bordeaux to craft a cuvee that is incredibly deep in color, extremely balanced, massively layered, dynamically weighty and possessing a long, flavorful finish. It’s a gold medal winner in the Vinalies International Wine Competition, a prestigious judging conducted by the Union of French Oenologists.
