About This Wine:
With 19 distinct appellations, known in the United States as American Viticultural Areas, each region has unique climate and geography that directly correlates to the wine in your glass. Both the queen and the workhorse of Sonoma County wine is Chardonnay, which dominates almost as much as it does in the Burgundy region of France, its ancestral home.
Some of Sonoma County's most coveted and expensive bottles of wine are not Cabernet Sauvignon, but rather Chardonnay. As of 2021, Chardonnay was the fifth most widely planted grape in the world, and the top white wine grape planted in Sonoma County.
During the 2021 harvest, 66,264 tons of Sonoma County Chardonnay were crushed for wine production. A similar amount was harvested in 2020, and Long Street sourced some of the finest fruit of that vintage for this lush “county cuvee.”
