2021 Scoperta Terre Siciliane, Italy Pinot Grigio
The 2021 Scorpeta Pinot Grigio showcases fresh aromas, bright acidity and clean flavors.
Varietal: Pinot Grigio
About This Wine:
Unlike many red wines, and even some whites, Pinot Grigio is meant to be enjoyed in its youth. It exhibits bright, fruitful characteristics in its first year of release (typically two years after its vintage), and then evolves gracefully over the next three to four years. But that evolution renders no actuial improvement.
Scorpeta’s home is the Terre Siciliane region of Italy. Terre Siciliane translates as "Sicilian lands,” and the wine region comprises the main island of Sicily as well as each of its satellite islands, including the Aeolian Islands. And while Pinot Grigio and Pinot Gris are exactly the same grape with different names, the wine styles are completely different.
The 2021 Scorpeta Pinot Grigio showcases fresh aromas, bright acidity and clean flavors — an excellent example of Terre Siciliane winemaking. So what are you waiting for? Drink up!
