Malbec and Friends (12 Bottle)
This is a fantastic opportunity to try some outstanding wines for a great price. Our wine buyers wanted to showcase in this trio some of our best wines, which includes a California Merlot that is super food-friendly, a member-favored Malbec from Argentina and a Merlot from Washington that is a perfect representation of the varietal.
Wines In Sampler:
|2019 Chalkstone California Merlot
Mellow and easy drinking with impressions of blackberry, black cherry, cocoa, black plum and herbs.
|2021 Tall Dark Stranger Malbec, Argentina
An excellent example of the Argentine style, this deep garnet-colored Malbec is perfumed with divine raspberry and violet blossoms, showing bright and refreshing red fruits of plum and red cherry.
|2019 Corvidae Rook Washington Merlot
The Corvidae “Rook” was made to showcase the world-class Merlot grapes that are grown in cooler, higher elevation sites in Washington’s Columbia Valley. The wine was aged in mostly neutral French oak barrels to keep the bright fruit flavors lively. The cuvee is crisply textured, balanced by fine-grained tannins and a rich, soft mid-palate.
NOTE: Because these wines are all in very limited supply, substitutions for wines similar in character and of equal or higher value may occasionally be made.
