About This Wine:
Part of that has to do with the deft touch of its winemaker. Much of it also involves its location — the acclaimed Cotes du Rhone appellation in eastern France. There, a primarily Mediterranean climate with abundant sunshine enables wine grapes to attain full maturity and full flavor.
Wines have been produced in the region since pre-Roman times, and ranked among the favorites of both kings and the papal community in Avignon at the time of the Western Schism. Almost all of the wines are red, including this delicious Bonne Vie cuvee.
The base variety, Grenache, provides fruity flavors, warmth and body. The smaller Syrah component accounts for the spicy aroma while enhancing the color and structure. From its fragrant nose to its soft integrated tannins to its abundant fruit flavor, this is a wine that defines “finesse.”
