2018 Rosalean Cabernet Sauvignon, California
Luscious aromas of ripe red fruits accented with inviting flavors of raspberry and spice.
Country: United States
Varietal: Cabernet Sauvignon
About This Wine:
Following a long growing season characterized by moderate temperatures throughout the spring and summer, harvest began anywhere from 10 days to three weeks later than in other years, and vintners reported exceptional quality thanks to consistent growing conditions and cooler temperatures, which allowed the grapes to mature slowly.
Comments about the 2018 vintage from veteran vintners included “Quality appears very high, with balanced sugar, acid and tannin levels”... “Yields are up and quality is excellent”... and, “The cool temperature in mid- to late-September led to gradual sugar accumulation in the grapes and good flavor development.”
With so many good reports up and down the state, Rosalean's winemaker opted for a true “California cuvee” in assembling the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon. Beautifully balanced and showing the varietal aromas and flavors we love in Cabernet, it’s an exceptional wine from a dream vintage in the Golden State.
