Our Story

Vinesse was founded by two American wine lovers in 1993 on the belief that interesting boutique wines should be accessible to everyone, at terrific value, with the convenience of home or office delivery. Now as a top-respected name in the wine business, our central goal is the same today — to create a world where our members and customers can:

  • explore the world of wine safely knowing that we guarantee every bottle we ship
  • learn about our award-winning wines from our expert tasting notes highlighting each wine's story and what makes it unique, valuable, fun, and interesting
  • develop confidence and conviction in all the main categories of wine and learn what they love and do not love and why
  • buy with knowledge and confidence from a trusted and reliable “friend in the wine business”
  • bring their enjoyment of wine to the whole new level

There has never been a better time to be a wine lover in America and savor the Good Life.

Our Wines

Vinesse is a new kind of winery, working directly with our favorite award-winning winemakers, growers, and vintners around the world to buy and create wines of outstanding value and distinction based on decades of customer feedback.

In fact, over 95% of our wines are scored as “would buy again” by Vinesse members.

We bring to life an amazing range of wines from the huge territory between the cheap mass market wines on the one hand the gloriously expensive wine that can blow your mind for $50–$100 or more on the other. In between those extremes is where you'll find Vinesse and our fellow wine lovers.

Great wine doesn't have to cost a fortune. And the wines have to be interesting. Here you will find a thrilling curated mixture of delicious and exotic imports and new takes on familiar favorites — all with fascinating stories of passion, family, friendships, science, and tradition.
